The scientific article examines the attitude of the Arab society to the Russian classical literature. In particular, special attention is paid to the consideration of the works of Arab critics devoted to the analysis of works by L.N. Tolstoy, F.M. Dostoevsky, M. Gorky and A.P. Chekhov. At the end of the article conclusions are drawn about the peculiarities of Arabs' perception of Russian literature.
