This research studies the connotation of nullifying the purpose and takes from the satisfying purposes as a means for it. It bears the meaning of (rejecting the purpose), studying it, determining its path and the location of the purpose in it, as well as clarifying the opinions of scholars in that and their preference for it. The research is divided into three sections preceded by an introduction and a brief definition of Ash-Shatby and his purposes, and a definition of (reversing the purpose. The first section includes: a study of issues in reversing the grammatical and morphological ruling. The second one consists of reversing the meaning, whereas the third topic is made up of reversing the original, then the research ends up with the most prominent results obtained from both the theoretical and practical chapters.
