The research is an attempt to explore the depths of the contemporary narrative poem, and to reveal the narrative dimension within the poetic discourse, and the most prominent narrative elements that have opened up to it from various techniques of other arts, such as the story, the tale, the novel, and other prose arts, in their narrative components that opened lyrical poetry to narrative narration, with its various elements and features. The research also raises the problem of narrative manifestations in the modern Arabic poem in general, and in the experience of the Iraqi poet from Basra, Kazem Al-Hajjaj, in particular.
