Poets Rafael Alberti and Maḥmūd Darwīš lived through exile and resistance: Alberti fought against the Francoist dictatorship, and Darwīš resisted the Zionist occupation. Both used various literary styles and symbols to denounce injustices and convey hope. Their legacy inspires the fight against injustice and keeping the memory of exile and resistance alive.
